The challenge
Build a two-sided marketplace from zero: travellers book transfers, drivers bid on jobs, the best offer wins. It needed payment splitting between platform and drivers, transactional email, SEO-friendly pages, and enough architecture to scale without a rebuild.
What we did
We built the front end on Next.js with server-side rendering for SEO and fast load times, backed by a NestJS API. Stripe Connect handles driver onboarding and split payouts at checkout. Transactional email runs on AWS SES. Conversion tracking is wired through Google Tag Manager. The whole stack is deployed on AWS and designed to absorb growth.
Results
- Live marketplace with real drivers and real bookings at launch
- Stripe Connect split payments and driver payouts working on day one
- Server-side rendered pages - fast and indexable by Google
- Built to scale without a structural rebuild
