Subject: Packaging compliance information request (Regulation (EU) 2025/40)

Dear Supplier,

From 12 August 2026, Regulation (EU) 2025/40 on packaging and packaging waste
applies directly across the European Union. As the party placing your goods on
the EU market, we are required to hold technical documentation for the packaging
they arrive in. We therefore need the following information for each item listed
below.

Items covered by this request:

For each item, please provide:

  1. Material composition, layer by layer and component by component, stating
     the material identification code (for example PAP 20, PE-LD 4).
  2. Weight in grams per packaging unit, and the weight of each component
     separately where the packaging combines materials (tape, window, handle,
     void fill).
  3. Internal and external dimensions in millimetres.
  4. Recycled content as a percentage, and its source.
  5. Whether the packaging contains substances of very high concern above
     0.1 % by weight.
  6. For packaging intended to come into contact with food: confirmation that
     it complies with the PFAS limit values in Article 5(5) of Regulation
     (EU) 2025/40, in force since 12 August 2026, or a test report
     demonstrating this.
  7. An EU declaration of conformity meeting the requirements of Regulation
     (EU) 2025/40. If one does not yet exist, please confirm the date by which
     it will be issued.
  8. The name, address and contact details of the economic operator placing
     the packaging on the EU market, and the batch or serial number by which
     the packaging can be identified.
  9. Whether the packaging is intended for reuse.
